Objectives
- Ultimate aim is to reduce health care related mortality and morbidity across the Nation of Zambia
- Zambian led Quality Improvement projects
- Formation of a community to support and mentor
Measurable Outcomes
- Primary objectives are taken from the Zambia National Health Strategic Plan 2017 - 2021
- Quality Improvement projects will be linked to clinical issues raised by Standard Quality Assurances
- Aim to train 100 health care professionals through the 'Masterclass' in the first year
- Projects to be presented in the National QI Zambia Conference
Structure
- Masterclass will be a 4 week program designed to lead delegates through their personal Quality Improvement projects
- 16 candidates per intake
- Compulsory attendance required at all 4 sessions
- Direct mentorship and support from faculty
- Peer to peer mentoring. Buddy system for delegates from previous successful delegates
- Formation of a community to provide support after the course
